Funky Doryz

i have never heard of these guys before. well i'm sure there are a lot of other unsigned local acts that i haven't heard before. but i must say i am impressed with their sound and commitment to release their ep. the self titled release has 5 catchy beats that one can definitely jive to.

my personal favorite is soul free. hehe.

apparently they have performed on a few occasions with my sister ana. and apparently ana already got their cd. hehe dang. shud have just copied from her aje. but then again, lets support our local music scene eh. hehe.

you can find out more about these guys here

Mothership - Led Zeppelin..

Led Zeppelin in my book is just classic. Their sounds transcend the generation gap in which a new listener listening today will still find the music relevant and enticing. i recently purchased the compilation album - Mothership. these guys rock. listening to these guys play one can't help but wonder the many other acts that they have inspired. best gila.

Rockstar Supernova

the debut album from that reality tv supergroup supernova is finally out. after a quick preview at their website i decided to just go and buy the cd coz i'm just a sucker for great rock songs. there's 11 songs all together. from those tunes that we hear played during the show and a few not heard before.

list.
1. its on
2. leave the lights on
3. be yourself (and 5 other cliches)
4. it's all love
5. can't bring myself to light the fuse
6. underdog
7. make no mistake.. this is a take
8. headspin
9. valentine
10. social disgrace
11. the dead parade

personally i preferred dilana over lukas but i guess the band picked who they felt was right. they sounded like they've been playing for ages actually. not like some 'instant noodle' band la.

initial listening suggests that this album rocks. hehe have to confirm later la kot.

Audioslave - Revelations

so i was browsing tower records looking for the new muse album. it seems that they ran outta stock for that album. listened to that single yang psychadelic sket with the weird video tu. anyways browse punye browse i found out that audioslave just released a new album. revelations. gi test dengar sat and hehe i loved it.

beli yang original. hehe yeah yeah..

REVELATIONS
Release Date: 09/05/2006

1. Revelations
2. One And The Same
3. Sound Of A Gun
4. Until We Fall
5. Original Fire
6. Broken City
7. Somedays
8. Shape Of Things To Come
9. Jewel Of The Summertime
10. Wide Awake
11. Nothing Left To Say But Goodbye
12. Moth

having had the last two albums, i kinda like the direction the band is going with the current offering. tom morello and his crazy riffs. chris cornell's trademark vocals. it seems that the marriage between the ex frontman of the now defunct soundgarden and the rage against the machine sans zach de la rocha is really coming to fruition. my personal favourites are revelations, one and the same, sound of a gun .. wait a minute.. ni macam semua aje.. muahaha.

anyways for those tired of candy apple pop or ur manufactured rock band kinda thing, give the album a listen..
